Simon Bader is working as a development engineer for Carl Zeiss SMT and has a passion for photography.
He was born 1988 in Schwäbisch Gmünd and grew up in a small village in the south of Germany.
Simon immerged into the world of digital photography in 2002, when his dad bought a Casio QV R4 digital compact camera.
At the beginning he engaged with capturing moments of his life and his vacations.
As the photography got started to became a main part of his life, he decided to buy a used Canon 10 D in 2010.
Since then, he has started taking targeted photos of landscapes from his surroundings and refined his photos while traveling.
During his studies, Simon also earned pocket money through wedding photography.
Simon owes the increase from snapshots to serious photography to his former classmate and friend Sebastian Tontsch,
who is now a professional photographer, well-known among other things for his Dubai cityscapes.
At a class reunion in 2017, the two met again and one
old friendship blossomed anew.
Sebastian shared both, in front of the camera and in post-production with Simon, which significantly increases the quality of Simons pictures.
Simon also came to astrophotography through Sebastian.
Since then, both have been going on phototours together regularly and shedding new light on some of the proven motives.
Simons style can be described as conventional and aims at the most detailed and realistic recording possible.
Skyreplacement is unthinkable for him and stamping functions are reduced to the bare essentials.
Simon prefers a natural look of colors, dynamics and contrasts with a certain kick.
